Box Score BANGOR, ME – The Husson University men's soccer team fell to Maine Maritime 2-0 on Saturday evening at Boucher Field. Husson falls to 6-5-0 overall and 3-1-0 in North Atlantic Conference play, while Maine Maritime improves to 6-4-1 and 3-0-1 in league play.
Tom Samson scored on a scramble in front of the net in the 53rd minute and Jonathan Reeks headed a ball into the corner in the 55th minute for the game's only two goals.
Marshall Spear stopped all five shots he faced while Brian Potter (Waterville, ME) stopped seven shots for Husson.
"Give all the credit to MMA," said Husson head coach Jeff Gettler. "They beat us in every facet of the game. We're very disappointed we couldn't impose ourselves in the game, and we need to if we are going to win in the league."
The Eagles return to the field on Tuesday when they host Thomas at 7:30 p.m.
