Box Score FARMINGTON, ME – Stephen Berenyi (Levant, ME) scored a pair of goals to lead the Husson University men's soccer team to a 4-1 win over Maine-Farmington on Saturday afternoon at Prescott Field. Husson improves to 8-6-0 overall and 5-2-0 in North Atlantic Conference play while Maine-Farmington falls to 1-12-1 and 1-5-0 in conference play.
The Eagles scored first in the 24th minute when Dylan Wetmore (Madawaska, ME) beat the keeper to the right side with assists courtesy of Alain Tuyishime (Rwanda) and Berenyi.
Berenyi followed that up with his first goal of the match in the 41st minute when he took a Saker Ghanayem (Orlando, FL) feed and chipped it over the goalkeeper.Berenyi pushed the lead to 3-0 when he hit a low shot to the corner in the 71st minute.
Yusuf Yama got Maine-Farmington on the board less than a minute later, but Ghanayem evaded defenders and ripped a shot to seal the game in the 82nd minute for Husson.
Brian Potter (Waterville, ME) made one save in net for Husson while Ronnie Morales made 10 for Maine-Farmington.
The Eagles host Wheaton tomorrow at 1 p.m.
