Box Score Henniker, NH – The Husson University men's soccer team fell to New England College 2-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles fall to 7-6-0 overall and 4-2-0 in North Atlantic Conference play, while the pilgrims improve to 6-5-1 overall and 2-1-1 in conference play.
The match went scoreless until Julian Yourawski found the back of the net in the 61st minute to give the Pilgrims the 1-0 lead. Rizy Misiri added the insurance goal in the 88th minute. Sebastian Anderson tallied the assist on the first goal and Michael Skarbelis was credited with the assist on the second.
Stephen Berenyi (Levant, ME) led the Eagle offense with two shots, one of which was on goal.
Brian Potter (Waterville, ME) made four saves for Husson while Mark Nowak stopped the only shot he faced.
The Eagles return to the pitch next Saturday as they travel to the University of Maine – Farmington for a conference match at 2:30pm.
