BANGOR, ME – The Husson University volleyball team fell to Colby 3-0 on Wednesday evening at Newman Gymnasium. The Eagles fall to 5-16 on the year while Colby improves to 9-5.

Colby took the match with set scores of 25-8, 25-17 and 25-9.

Kristen Atwood (Cumberland, ME) had a team-high three kills in the match while Ryan Hood (Princeton, ME) had a team-high seven assists. Marissa Tautimer (Tucson, AZ) added nine digs and Nia Arranaga (San Jose, CA) added seven digs and three assists.

Colby was led by Kate Wincek who had 11 kills and Emily Moslener with 22 assists.

"This was a tough loss, but we kept fighting until the end," said Husson head coach Jodie Fairbank. "We have a good attitude and drive going into conference play."

The Eagles open up conference play on Saturday with a 1 p.m. match at Colby-Sawyer.
