Bangor, ME - Husson field hockey won another North Atlantic Conference matchup Saturday at home vs. U. Maine Farmington on senior day. Liz Noddin, Sabrina Vaillancourt, Mariah Arno and Samantha Blanchard were all honored in a ceremony before the game with friends and family.

Noddin put Husson on the board first with an unassisted goal in the 21st minute, followed by a Taylor Lovely goal about eight minutes later assisted by Sabrina Vaillancourt.

Husson had the 2-0 lead late in the first but allowed a goal in the 33rd minute. Kashley Weymouth scored unassisted to close the gap to 2-1 heading into halftime.

"We made a couple changes defensively at halftime and it worked out really well," head coach Jen Johnstone noted after the game. "The second half was the strongest half we've played all season."

Noddin and Lovely controlled the offensive action in the second frame with each scoring a goal and picking up assists to boot. Lovely collected a nice pass from senior Noddin to cage the Eagle's third goal in the 47th minute and Lovely returned the favor 13 minutes later feeding Noddin for her fifth point on the afternoon.

"Liz was phenomenal today and really paced our offense," Johnstone added. "Our seniors played really dynamically. The big difference was that we play really well as a team in the second half."

With the win Husson improves to 9-5 overall and 6-1 in the NAC. The Eagles remain second in the NAC field hockey standings behind Castleton (9-5, 7-0 NAC) and in front of St. Joe's and Farmington who are both 5-2 in the NAC.
