Box Score Gorham, ME, - Husson Women's basketball fell to the #19 team in the country Friday evening by a final of 57-20. The perennial power Huskies used scoring from 11 different players to best the Eagles and move to a perfect 9-0 record.
Husson's Jade Keezer led the Eagles with seven points in nine minutes of play, while Kelli Murray added five, two steals and nine rebounds in the effort.
The green and gold shot just 13% from the floor on the night in the loss.
Southern Maine opened the game on a 14-0 run in the first four and a half minutes to secure an early lead, which they would never relinquish.
Jordan Grant led USM in the victory, notching a game-high 11 points, five rebounds and two assists in 26 minutes. Jill Madden added eight of her own, shooting a perfect 2-2 from three point land.
The Huskies led in most categories: rebounds, assists, steals and blocks to down the visiting Eagles.
The Husson women will travel to Brandeis on Monday December 31st at 1:00pm for the final contest of any kind for the Eagles in the 2012 calendar year.
