Box Score Farmington, ME – Husson University lost on the road to Farmington in a North Atlantic Conference matchup Saturday 4-1. Four different Beavers scored on the afternoon to pick up the NAC win.
Senior Annie Agnew scored for UMF just over 10 minutes into the game off an assist by Kaitlyn Bullen. Fellow senior Lily Barry put the Beavers up 2-0 just 25 seconds later when she deflected a shot from Kashley Weymouth past Husson goalie Maicee Gustin.
Husson's Sabrina Vallancourt got the Eagles on the scoreboard with just 2:13 remaining in the first half, redirecting a shot by Melissa Souza to make the score 2-1 at the break. Vaillancourt has now scored in four of the last five games and is absolutely rolling in the latter part of the season.
The Beavers doubled down their lead over Husson in the second half, scoring twice more. Bullen picked up a goal to go with her first half assist, beating Gustin on a shot just under three minutes into the second half. Agnew was credited with an assist.
Weymouth notched an unassisted goal with 8:44 showing on the scoreboard, to cap the scoring.
Gustin recorded six saves on the day, while Farmington goalie Felisha Taylor was credited with six. Farmington outshot Husson 15-7, but Husson held a 13-10 advantage in penalty corners.
The Eagles will return home to play their homecoming weekend game vs. Simmons on Sunday the 14th at 12:00pm.
