Box Score Farmington, ME- Husson defeated University of Maine at Farmington Wednesday afternoon 4-0 at Prescott Field, improving to 7-1 in the NAC.
It only took Husson until the 9th minute to get on the board when First Year Cam Libbey (Hampden, ME) scored putting the Eagles up 1-0. Sophomore Phil Frost (Bangor, ME) had the assist.
Senior Trevor Higgins (Kittery, ME) made it 2-0 Husson at 57:50 when he scored on a pass from Junior Zach Emeigh (Ellsworth, ME).
Frost added a goal of is own, off a pass from First Year Alain Tuyishime (Portland, ME) in the 83rd minute making it 3-0 Eagles.
Just a minute later at 83:18 Higgins added his second goal of the game with the assist coming from Sophomore Andrew Austin (Ellsworth, ME).
Husson peppered the goal with 11 shots in the first half and another 6 in the 2nd half, leading the shots 17-9.
Husson Sophomore goalkeeper Brian Potter (Waterville, ME) stopped all 3 shots he faced earning the win. UMF goalkeeper Paul Dupre stopped 5 of 9 shots and played just over 87 minutes. Chris Roberts came in for the final 2 minutes and had no saves.
With this win Husson University improves to 11-4 on the season and 7-1 in the NAC. The Eagles will host Colby- Sawyer on Saturday (October, 20) at 7:30 PM at Boucher Field. This will be the last home game of the regular season and a chance for the Senior's to be recognized on Senior Day.
