Box Score LYNDON CENTER, VT — The Eagles women's basketball team continued their success in the North Atlantic Conference with a solid 74-57 victory over Lyndon State at Stannard Gymnasium. Amanda Gifford (Lee, ME) had 17 points, five assists and seven steals to propel Husson to their 6th North Atlantic Conference victory of the season. The Eagles improve to 6-1 in the NAC and 6-7 overall while the Lady Hornets drop to 4-8 (3-4 NAC) on the season.
Brianna Hanscom (Mattawamkeag, ME) had 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists and five steals to lead a balanced attack for the Eagles and Stephanie Comstock (Bangor, ME) chipped in 13 points and four rebounds.
Donna Lawson (Irasburg, VT) led Lyndon with a game high 20 points, eight rebounds and six blocked shots while Naomi White (Danville, VT) added 13 points and nine rebounds.
Husson will make the short trip to Johnson, VT Saturday for a 4:00 pm start against the Johnson State Badgers. Lyndon State will take on the Mariners of the Maine Maritime Academy Saturday at 3:00 pm and will look to break their streak of four consecutive NAC home losses.
