Bangor, ME – The Husson Volleyball team held serve and beat the University of Maine at Presque Isle in two matches from the Newman Gymnasium. The Eagles added 2 wins to their overall record beating UMPI 3-0 in both matches. 

Junior Middle Hitter Hannah Olstad led the home team with 19 total kills on the night, while Aleta Johnson and Chelly Smith added 5 kills each over the two games. Kelsey Burrill led the way in service aces with 9 in the first match and another 2 in the second. 

Over the course of the night all 11 members of the squad had the opportunity to hit the court, and as a team, 37 total aces were recorded between the 2 games. In match 2 freshmen middle hitter Alexandra deHertogh added 3 solo blocks to the Eagles defensive efforts. 

Husson travels to Regis College this Saturday where they will be taking on Bridgewater State University at 1:00 pm, and the host team at 3:00 pm.
