Castine, ME - Husson University defeated the Mariners from Maine Maritime 93-56 in a North Atlantic Conference match-up Tuesday night at Margaret Smith Gymnasium.

The Eagles improve to 16-5 on the season and 9-1 in conference while the Mariners fall to 8-12 overall and 3-7 in the NAC.

The Eagles jumped out to a 42-27 halftime lead and then flew by the Mariners in the second half out scoring them 51-29 and eventually won by a 37-point margin.

Josh Jones (Jefferson, ME) led the visitors with 24 points on 10-for-16 shooting and contributed seven rebounds while Jay Uhrin (Winterport, ME) contributed 17 points. Luis Medina Hartford, CT) led the Eagles with 11 assists and three steals. Husson shot a sultry 52.9% from the floor and 10-21 from beyond the arc in the victory.

Paul Campbell led the way for the Mariners with 14 points while Dom Drake and Shawn Dostie contributed 13 and 11 points respectively.

The Husson men look to continue their impressive conference swing on Friday when they head to Green Mountain, with tip-off scheduled for 6:00 pm. Before the Eagles return to Bangor, they'll also make a stop at Castleton on Saturday with the game starting at 2:00 pm.
