Bangor, Me – The Husson University men's basketball team faced Colby College and lost a hard fought 75-70 game in non-conference action.  Mike Russell recorded a double-double to lead the Mules to victory while Husson's Josh Jones led all scorers with 26 points.  With the loss, the Eagles fall to 7-4 while the Mules improve to 6-6.

The Mules led 40-37 at halftime and extended the lead to 50-39 early in the second half. Colby kept the lead until Husson's Eric Modica went 2-for-2 from the foul line to give the Eagles a 68-67 lead.

 After Husson tied the game at 70-70, Ben Foreman was 5-for-6 from the foul line in the last two minutes for the final points of the game to earn the Colby win.

First-year student Luis Medina contributed 19 points to the Husson effort while Jay Uhrin tallied 11 points.

The Eagles return to action on Friday, January 14 with their home North Atlantic Conference opener when they face Lyndon State for an 8:00 PM game.
