Box Score January 31, 2011, Waterville, Maine - - The Eagles of Husson University (8-10, 6-1 NAC) got off to a quick lead and never looked back as they defeated the Terriers (5-11, 3-5 NAC) 101-74. Bethany Sevey eclipsed Husson's scoring record, putting up 43 points in the Husson win.
At the end of the first half it was the Eagles over the Terriers 57-30.
In the second half, the Terriers held the Eagles to 44 points but it wasn't enough to slow the Eagles offense.
Bird finished with a double-double scoring a team high 33 points; just three points short of tying her career high and 11 rebounds. Ashley Matchett (Skowhegan, Maine) finished with 12 points and seven rebounds.
The Eagles' Sevey recorded a double-double with 43 points and 10 rebounds both team highs. Sevey's 43 points broke the former scoring record held by Leslie Weed who had 41 against the University of Maine Machias in 2000.
Kelli Murray finished with 13 points and five rebounds.
