Bangor, ME – Husson University women's volleyball continued their winning ways with a 3-0 sweep of the University of Maine at Machias.  Off to one of the best starts in program history, the Eagles improve to 12-2 with the win while the Owls fall to 1-7.

Husson won game one (25-20), game two (25-15), and game three (25-18).  Michelle Smith (So., New Boston, NH) paced the Eagles with 15 kills and 9 digs.  Hannah Olstad (So., Farmington, NH) tallied 6 kills, 3 service aces, and 3 blocks on the win, followed by Aleta Johnson (So., Milton, NH) who contributed 26 assists.  Michelle Smith hammered home the match point kill to give the Eagles their twelfth win of the season.

The Owls were led by Allison MacDonald (So., Antigonish, NS) who recorded 6 kills, 2 aces,1 assist, and 14 digs.  Karen Creighton (Jr., Sussex, NB) added 4 kills, 1 ace, and 14 digs to the effort.

The Eagles return to action on Saturday, October 2, when they travel to Castelton for a 10:00 North Atlantic Conference matchup.
