Box Score BANGOR, ME—The Husson University Men's Soccer team
fell to Wheaton College today by a score of 4-0 at Boucher
Field. Wheaton started the game off with the first of two
goals by Josh Solomon (Sr., Acton, MA) on a corner kick by David
Turina (So., North Yarmouth, ME). Solomon's second goal
came just minutes later on a pass from Kyle Sye (Sr., Acton, MA) to
put the Lions up by a score of 2-0
Wheaton then hit the back of the net again seven minutes into
the second half with an unassisted goal from Cecil Jeffrey (So.,
Framingham, MA) followed by another goal midway through the half on
a corner kick by Yuri Moreira (Sr., Marlboro, MA) putting Wheaton
up by a score of 4-0. Meanwhile, Husson goalkeeper Mason
Smith (So., Houma, LA) recorded 17 saves throughout the game, only
allowing 4 to get by. This performance brings his save total
to 51 saves in 5 games. Both teams played solid soccer
throughout the entire match with no yellow cards or red cards being
issued.
The Eagles will take on Colby College Tuesday, September 21 at
home at 4:30 at Husson
