Box Score JOHNSON, Vt. (February 13, 2010) - Johnson State won their
fourth consecutive game and fifth in six games by defeating
visiting Husson University 64-66 in North Atlantic Conference (NAC)
men's basketball action on Saturday at Carter Gym. Senior
Leandro Martinez (Philadelphia, Penn./Holy Ghost) tossed in a
floater with :04 seconds remaining. The loss drops Husson to

Martinez, who paced Johnson with a game-high 26 points, ducked
into the lane through a pair of Eagle defenders and let go a lefty
floater that fell through the rim to give the Badgers the lead in a
seesaw battle. The Eagles were able to move the ball up the
court but could not get a final shot off.
Fellow senior Nate Dodge (Burlington,
Vt./Burlington) scored 14 points and Ian Passino
(Peru, N.Y./Peru) chipped in with 12 points including a
3-for-3 effort from the 3-point line.
Husson received 16 points apiece from Matt McKenzie
(Warren, Maine) and Jay Uhrin (Winterport,
Maine) while Joshua Jones (Jefferson,
Maine) supplied 10 points. A 4-25 3-point effort and
a 4-14 night from the free throw stripe doomed the Eagles.
Husson will host Green Mountain College Friday and Castleton
State College on Saturday.
