Box Score BANGOR, ME – The Husson University Eagles took on the visiting Polar Bears from Bowdoin College and lost in a rout, 89-55. The Eagles could not defend the fast break tonight and were not able to keep the Polar Bears boxed out. Bowdoin distributed the scoring well and had 5 players score in double digits.
The game started off close and after 5 minutes of play, the game was tied at 12. Husson's Bethany Sevey (SR, Skowhegan, ME) had an early 9 points, but Bowdoin started playing tight defense on her and from then on, the Polar Bears never looked back. Thanks to their full-court pressure, rebounding on both ends, and ability to find the open player on offense, Bowdoin had a 29-point lead at half, 51-22.
The second half was more of the same – Bowdoin pressing the ball, Husson turning the ball over. Husson was shooting the ball better, however, but was just outmatched today. The final score of the game was 89-55, Bowdoin coming out victorious.
For Husson, Stephanie Comstock (FY, Bangor, ME) was the leading scorer with 13. Caitlyn Butterfield (SR, Gorham, ME), Amanda Gifford (JR, Lee, ME), and Sevey had 9 points each. Brianna Hanscom ended the game with 8 points.

Kaitlin Donahoe (SO, Amherst, NY) and Allie Piscina (FY, Pelham, NY) both finished the day with 10 points.
