Box Score 2 CASTLETON, Vt. - The Husson Unviersity Eagles women's
volleyball team went 2-0 on Saturday afternoon as the Spartans
hosted a quad match with North Atlantic Conference (NAC) opponents
Green Mountain, Castleton and Maine Maritime competing.
After the quad, Husson 14-2 (2-0 NAC) while Maine Maritime jumps
to 10-6 (2-0 NAC).
Match One - Husson 3, Castleton 0 (25-23, 25-17, 26-24) Site -
Glenbrook Gymnasium
Setter
Aleta Johnson (Milton, N.H.) led the Eagles over
the Spartans with a game-high 20 assists alongside three service
aces, three digs and one block assist. Johnson facilitated an
offense that had three players with at least five kills. Athena
Beaulieu (Gorham, Maine) turned in a stellar defensive performance
with five digs, one block solo and four block assists. On offense,
Beaulieu had three kills and one service ace.
For Castleton, Ashley Kepaa (No. Attleboro, Mass.) paced the
offense with 10 kills, six assists and one service ace. Freshman
Chelsea Schlosser (Endicott, N.Y.) had six kills, a team-high nine
assists, two service aces and six digs.
Match Four - Husson 3, Green Mountain 0 (25-11, 25-23, 25-21)
Site - Shape Gymnasium
Hannah Olstad (Farmington, N.H.) paced Husson with a
match-high nine kills, three service aces, seven digs and four
block solos. Johnson handed out 20 assists, notched one service ace
and picked up three digs.
Middle hitter Kaitlyn McKay (Lincoln, R.I.) had eight kills, one
service ace and four digs.
For Green Mountain, Jen McGuire (Nutley, N.J.) had a
team-high 10 assists along with eight digs. Cojohari and Egan led
the team in kills with eight apiece. Cojohari added one service ace
and 11 digs while Egan had a match-high six service aces and 13
digs.
