Husson University opened the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) schedule against Thomas College Tuesday night at Thomas' Mahaney Gym.  The Eagles defeated the Terriers by a score of 90 to 76.  With the win, Husson improves to 4-8.

The Eagles led for most of the first half and the entire second half.  Husson's Shelby Bradford (Lee, ME) made key contributions with 22 points, 9 rebounds, 5 steals, and 5 assists.  Brianna Hanscom (Mattawamkeag, ME) also added 18 points and 6 rebounds, shooting 8-11 from the floor.  Lindsay Barnes (Sr., Owls Head, ME) contributed 13 points to the Eagles' win, shooting 6-8 from the floor.  The Terriers leading scorer was Mallorie Blakney (Fairfield, ME) who had 20 points followed by Karin Bird (Lee, ME) with 19.

Husson will host Maine Maritime for their home NAC opener on January 15 at Newman Gymnasium.  Game time is set for 7:30 PM.
