Box Score Bangor, ME – The Eagles rolled to a 94-61 win over Thomas
College at Newman Gym. Bree Hanscom (FY, Mattawamkeag, ME) paced
Husson with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Husson moves to 5-6 on the
season while Thomas falls to 2-8.
Husson opened the game with a 16-4 run over the first five minutes
and never trailed in the game. The Terriers cut the lead to 26-20
on a basket by Mallorie Blakney (SO, Fairfield, ME) ten minutes in
the half. The Eagles finished off the half with a 23-8 run to lead
at the break 49-28.
The Eagles had 15 different players score. Noelle Lincoln (SO,
Dixmont, ME) chipped in 11 points and Shelby Bradford (SR, Lee, ME)
had 7 point, 10 rebounds, 6 assists, and 5 steals. Husson shot
52.2% from the floor and out rebounded Thomas 56-38.
Thomas was paced by Amy Miles (SO, Waldo, ME) with 13 points and 5
assists. She connected on 3-9 from the arch. Jess Nassetta (JR,
Standish, ME) added 10 points.
Both teams next play on Saturday, January 17th. Husson travels to
Maine Maritime Academy with a tip-off at 1:00 pm and Thomas host U.
Maine Farmington at 1:00 pm.
