Bangor, ME – Bowdoin College earned a 1-0 non conference win over host Husson University. Bowdoin moves to 6-2-3 on the season while Husson drops to 11-4.

Ellery Gould (Fy, East Sandwich, MA) scored the game winner with just under 20 minutes to play. Gould moved past an Eagle defender, finding space into the box to score her 8th goal of the season.

Kelly Thomas (Sr, West Hartford, CT) had 5 saves for the shutout. Thomas made a big stop on Samantha Homer (Jr, Charlton, MA) to keep the game scoreless at the 57th minute. The Eagles transitioned off a Polar Bear corner and Homer got behind the defense. Homer entered the box area alone and Thomas came out to make the big save.

Tatyana Wolterbeek (Sr, Wells, ME) kept the Eagles close with 8 saves against 21 shots. The Eagles failed to score a goal in a game for the first time this season.

Husson will host Colby College on Tuesday, October 21st at 3:00 pm. Bowdoin travels to Brandeis on Thursday, October 23rd at 7:00 pm.
