In his role as the sports information director, Swanson will provide maximum visibility for Husson's 22 Division III athletic programs.

Swanson returned to Husson in December of 2021 after spending the previous three years at Averett University as the assistant sports information director. Prior to being named the assistant sports information director at Averett, Swanson served as the director of athletic communications at Brevard College and sports information graduate assistant at Lincoln Memorial University.

While at Brevard, Swanson served as the primary contact for football, volleyball, golf, men's basketball, baseball, lacrosse and the Tornados' national championship cycling program. He served as the voice of Brevard's coaching show, Coaches' Corner and helped developed the Tornados' athletic website, bctornados.com. Additionally, Swanson campaigned for Brevard's first Division II All-American honoree and developed an extensive graphics background.

The Trenton, Maine, native is a 2012 graduate of Husson University with a degree in sport management. During his time at Husson, he served as an NCAA rules compliance intern at the University of Maine as well as a sports information student assistant at Husson.

Following graduation, Swanson joined the Brevard athletics staff for the first of his two stints as a compliance intern, before being promoted the following year to compliance assistant.

Proceeding his two years at Brevard, Swanson made the switch from rules compliance to sports information and accepted a graduate assistantship at Lincoln Memorial. During his first year with the Railsplitters he served as the primary contact for women's soccer, women's golf and women's lacrosse before moving into a graphics role his second year. During the 2015-16 year, Swanson focused primarily on gameday graphics, schedule posters, media guides and various social media outlets, helping to further establish LMU's Division II brand.

Outside of Husson, Swanson is an avid wood worker who enjoys watching the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots.

Swanson and his wife, Stacie have one child, Isaiah, and two dogs, Delilah and Zoe, and cat named Caroline.
