Jim Cotton joined the Husson University Women’s Tennis Team in 2026 as an assistant coach.

ATHLETIC CAREER:
  • Competed on Presque Isle High School tennis team 1979-1983. Qualified for MPA State
  • Singles Championships all four years.
  • Played tennis for the University of Maine, 1983-1987. Team captain 1986-1987.
  • Worked as a tennis instructor and coach during summer, 1983-1987.
  • USTA League Play, ranked 4.5.
  • Qualified for USTA National Tournament in Tri-Level League.

PERSONAL:
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Maine in Orono in 1988.
  • Retired 2026 after 38 years of cardiac nursing at Northern Light Health, with a focus on cardiac catheterization and treadmill testing with EKG interpretation.
  • His personal interests include cycling, hiking and camping with his wife Donna, and spending time with his two grown children.
