Christopher Parsons was named Executive Director of Athletics at Husson University in August of 2025.

Parsons holds over two decades of experience as an administrator, coach, mentor, and student-athlete. Prior to joining Husson, Parsons returned to his alma mater, Thomas College, in 2011 as the Head Men's Soccer Coach. He played a big part of elevating the men’s soccer program into a perennial North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contender. The program has earned five NAC Championships in Parsons’ tenure, qualifying for the NCAA Division III National Tournament five times. With the Terriers he coached two players who are currently in the professional ranks, three NAC Player of the Year Award winners, one Academic All-American, 38 NAC All-Conference Team honorees and was named NAC Coach of the Year in 2016.

As an administrator, Parsons held various roles in areas of admissions, facilities and recruiting while at Thomas.

Parsons has had coaching stints as both a head and assistant coach at numerous programs in New England, including the University of Maine, Bates College, Bowdoin College, University of Maine at Farmington, and Saint Joseph’s College of Maine.

Parsons is a 1998 graduate of Thomas College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management. As a men's soccer student-athlete at Thomas, he won the Maine Athletic Conference Championship in 1995, served as team captain, and was a two-time All-New England, All-State and All-Conference selection.  In his senior year at Thomas, he was selected as an honorable mention All-American.

Parsons also met his wife, Karin, while they were students at Thomas College. Parson’s oldest son, Drew, graduated from Bates College in 2018 and went to Thomas in 2019 to earn his Master of Business Administration. He was able to play his final year of eligibility in men’s soccer with his dad as his coach, while the team collected a NAC Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division III National Tournament.

Parsons resides in Oakland, Maine with his wife Karin, and children Emma-Jane and Owen.
