Husson University

Joe Capehart enters his second season as the Husson assistant men's and women's cross country coach in 2015. He also serves as sprints and jumps coach for the Eagles men's and women's track and field teams.

Capehart has over a decade of high school coaching experience in Maine, including time spent at nearby John Bapst Memorial. As a coach, he has helped produce numerous state, regional and conference championship teams and individuals, including the 2010 Girls Cross Country Maine State Champion. In girls cross country, Capehart was tabbed the conference Coach of the Year in 2007 and 2008 and for outdoor track and field in 2011. He has coached several qualifiers for the New England Championships in sprints, distance, hurdles and jumps.

Capehart was a four-year letterwinner on the men's soccer and track and field teams at Susquehanna University from 2000-04. He earned a Bachelor's degree in 2004.

Capehart is a four-time qualifier for the Boston Marathon with a personal record of 2:46.

The Bangor, Maine, native was a standout athlete in boys cross country, soccer and track and field at Bangor High School.
