BIDDEFORD, Maine — The Husson University men's cross country team opened its 2026 season with a third-place finish at the Ron Ouellette Invitational on Friday at Rotary Park.

The Eagles finished third among three teams with 81 points, trailing Southern Maine (17 points) and host University of New England (48 points). Husson's four scoring runners finished with an average time of 24:45 over the 5K course.

Freshman Brady Pelletier led the way for the Eagles, placing 15th overall with a time of 19:28.4. The first-year runner averaged 6:16.0 per mile and earned 11 team points.

Senior Micah Bryan followed in 20th place overall, crossing the finish line in 21:55.7, averaging 7:03.4 per mile and scoring 16 points for Husson.

Freshman Dylan Anderson was next for the Eagles, finishing 21st overall in 23:05.5 while averaging 7:25.9 per mile. Anderson contributed 17 points to the Husson team score.

Junior Gage Moody rounded out the Eagles' four scoring runners, finishing 23rd overall with a time of 28:20.5 and an average mile of 9:07.3. He scored 18 points for Husson.

Fifth year Dillon Haughton also competed for the Eagles, finishing 24th with a time of 30:56.1 and an average mile of 9:57.3.

The Eagles return to action on Sept. 12 for the North Atlantic Conference Preview Meet, hosted by the University of Maine at Farmington.
