WATERVILLE, Maine — Husson University men's golf senior Ty Dickson tied for medalist honors on Sunday, helping the Eagles finish second at the Sid Farr Invitational at Waterville Country Club.

Dickson fired a 2-under-par 68 to share the top spot on the individual leaderboard with Colby College's Jack Marquardt. Dickson's round was seven shots better than Husson's next finisher and marked the only under-par round by an Eagle.

Husson finished with a four-player total of 301 (+21), placing second in the nine-team field and six strokes behind Colby's winning total of 295 (+15).

The University of Southern Maine finished third at 304 (+24), followed by Bowdoin College in fourth at 309 (+29) and the University of New England in fifth at 316 (+36). Maine Maritime Academy placed sixth with a 324 (+44), while the University of Maine at Farmington was seventh at 326 (+46), Saint Joseph's College of Maine finished eighth at 327 (+47) and the University of Maine-Presque Isle rounded out the field at 328 (+48).

Behind Dickson, sophomore Chase Farnsworth recorded a 5-over 75 to finish tied for fifth individually. Senior Juan Carlos Hernandez added a 7-over 77, good for a tie for ninth.

Sophomore Michael Bruce provided Husson's fourth counting score with an 11-over 81, tying for 26th, while senior Jace Cook rounded out the Eagles' lineup with a 12-over 82 to finish tied for 29th.

The Eagles return to the course on Wednesday at the Mariners Invitational at the Augusta Country Club.
