WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – The Husson University women's swimming and diving team put together an impressive effort in its meet at Eastern Connecticut State University on Saturday, highlighted by several top-three finishes, but the Eagles ultimately fell 180-81.

Freshman Sara Harriman led the charge with a victory in the 1,000 freestyle (11:55.67), before adding runner-up finishes in the 200 backstroke (2:27.31) and 100 butterfly (1:09.62). Junior Olivia Underwood turned in strong mid-distance swims, finishing second in the 200 freestyle (2:14.92) and 500 freestyle (6:12.23), while sophomore Gabrielle Hoffmann placed third in the 500 (6:22.71). Junior Logan Williams added third-place efforts in the 100 breaststroke (1:20.38) and 200 breaststroke (3:04.04), with freshman Abbey Donato finishing third in the 200 butterfly (2:43.59) and freshman Brooklyn Henderson third in the 50 freestyle (27.70) to round out Husson's podium finishers.

The Eagles closed the day with a pair of runner-up finishes in the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relays, finishing with 81 team points.

Husson returns to the pool on Saturday for its final home meet of the semester when it hosts Maine Maritime Academy and Keene State College at 6 p.m.
