BANGOR, Maine — The Husson University women's swimming & diving team dropped a head-to-head matchup against defending Little East Conference Champion Eastern Connecticut State University at home on Saturday by a final of 185-90.
The Eagles scored the third most points in a head-to-head meet with ESCU, beating their 2023 total by 17.
Husson began its day with a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay as the team of senior
Erin Madden, sophomore
Logan Williams and freshmen
Morgan Collins and
Mariah Muskavitch clocked a time of 2:06.72.
Freshman Gabby Hoffman posted a third-place performance in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 13:16.30.
Muskavitch swam to a second-place podium in the 200-yard freestyle with a mark of 2:18.29, while sophomore
Mia Winslow finished second in the 100-yard backstroke at 1:11.37.
Madden clocked a 1:20.85 in the 100-yard breaststroke to finish second, while Collins and senior
Katarina Christensen finished second and third, respectively in the 200-yard butterfly with times of 2:42.25 and 3:29.78.
Muskavitch added another impressive performance in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing third with a 27.73.
Junior
Riley Mahoney won the one-meter, six-dive event with a score of 192.75. Madden and Winslow both finished second and third in the 200-yard backstroke, posting times of 2:22.32 and 2:27.33, respectively.
Logan Williams finished third in the 200-yard breaststroke at 3:10.02, while Hoffman added another third-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 6:26.40.
Collins clocked a 1:10.21 to finish second in the 100-yard butterfly and Mahoney added her second win on the day, scoring a 154.75 in the one-meter, five-dive event.
In the final two events of Saturday's meeting, Husson finished third in the 400-yard IM as Winslow posted a time of 5:43.42 and third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.06.
Husson travels to Wenham, Massachusetts on Saturday for a 1 p.m. head-to-head against Gordon College.
