Women’s swimming & diving drops head-to-head meeting against Norwich

NORTHFIELD, Vt. — The Husson University women's swimming & diving head dropped its head-to-head matchup against Norwich University 196.5-98.5 on the road Saturday. 
 
The Eagles 200-yard medley relay team of senior Erin Madden, sophomore Logan Williams and freshmen Morgan Collins and Mariah Muskavitch finished second with a time of 2:06.65. 
 
Freshman Gabby Hoffman swam to a third-place performance in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 13:21.09, while Madden clocked a 2:12.92 to finish second in the 200-yard freestyle event. 
 
Senior Grace Rocheleau and freshman Sofia Herrington finished third and fourth, respectively in the 50-yard backstroke with times of 33.07 and 33.88. 
 
Williams record her second-straight win the 50-yard breaststroke, posting a time of 37.34, while Collins won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:09.10. 
 
Muskavitch tied for third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 28.48, while sophomore Mia Winslow finished fifth at 30.19. 
 
Junior Riley Mahoney finished second in the one-meter, five-dive event with a score of 169.81
 
Madden and Muskavitch finished third and fourth, respectively in the 100-yard freestyle with marks of 1:01.55 and 1:03.78.
 
Winslow, Herrington and Rocheleau finished third, fourth and fifth in the 100-yard backstroke, clocking times of 1:13.00, 1:13.06 and 1:13.42, respectively. 
 
Williams added to her impressive day with a second-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:23.60 and Hoffmann clocked a 6:32.16 to finish second in the 500-yard freestyle. 
 
Additionally, sophomore Isabella Cost finished fifth in the 500 free with a time of 6:55.52.
 
Collins picked up her second win of the day in the 50-yard butterfly, winning by over three seconds with a time of 30.05, while sophomore Mackenzie Gray finished third with a 34.28 and Herrington clocked a 34.96 to finish fourth. 
 
Mahoney added her second, second-place finish in the one-meter, six-dive event posting a score of 138.61. 
 
Hoffman, Gray and junior Maggie Poulin finished third-fifth in the 100-yard IM, clocking times of 1:17.96, 1:21.52 and 1:34.93, respectively.
In the final event of the meet, Husson's 200-yard freestyle relay team of Madden, Winslow, Collins and Muskavitch finished second with a time of 1:53.94.
