Women’s swimming & diving falls to Gordon in head-to-head matchup

WENHAM, Mass. — The Husson University women's swimming & diving team dropped a 153-109 head-to-head matchup on the road Saturday to Gordon College. 
 
The Eagles began the afternoon finishing second in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:45.77. 
 
Freshman Gabby Hoffman finished second in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:59.37
 
Sophomore's Mia Winslow and Mackenzie Gray finished second and third in the 200-yard freestyle with times of 2:21.85 and 2:30.03, respectively. 
 
Senior Erin Madden dominated in the 50-yard backstroke, winning the event with a time of 32.37, while freshman Sofia Herrington clocked a 34.23. 
 
Freshman Logan Williams finished second in the 50-yard breaststroke with a time of 37.47, while fellow freshman Morgan Collins placed second in the 100-yard butterfly at 1:09.98. 
 
Freshman Mariah Muskavitch earned a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle at 27.54 and finished second in the 100-yard freestyle with a mark of 1:03.49. 
 
Madden posted her second win on the day in the 100-yard backstroke, clocking a 1:08.41, while Winslow finished second with a 1:11.38. 
 
Williams swam to a second-place performance in the 100-yard breaststroke, hitting the wall at 1:23.87. 
 
Hoffmann added another second-place performance in the 500-yard freestyle, posting a 6:24.35.
 
Collins got in the win column for the Eagles in the 50-yard butterfly, posting a winning time of 31.03, while Winslow and Gray finished second and third, respectively, in the 200-yard IM with times of 2:45.59 and 2:54.06. 
 
Husson concluded the event with a second and third-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay. Madden, freshman Riley Crosby, Collins and Muskavitch finished with a mark of 4:16.00, while Hoffmann, senior Grace Rocheleau, sophomore Isabella Cost and Gray tallied a 4:42.61. 
 
The Eagles now battle in-state rival Maine Maritime Academy on the road Thursday at 6 p.m.
