CHICOPEE, Mass — The Husson University men's golf team leads the North Atlantic Conference Championship with an 18-over par 302 following the opening 18 holes on Sunday.
Graduate Student
Chris Kauppila leads medalist honors by one stroke following an opening round three-over par 74.
Fellow graduate students
Max Woodman,
Will Kavanaugh and
Jack King all finished the opening round in a four-way tie for third place following five-over par rounds of 76. Giving the Eagles four scoring golfers all within the top five and currently competing for first-team honors.
Sophomore
Jace Cook completed Husson's opening round, shooting a 15-over par 86 to finish 21st.
The Eagles will look to make it four-straight NAC championships on Monday when they return to the course for the final 18 holes of the championship with tee off scheduled for 11 a.m.
