NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. - The Husson University men's golf team currently sits in a tie for 31st after the first round of the NCAA Division III Championship.
The Eagles' four scoring golfers combined to shoot 22-over on Tuesday at Keene Trace Golf Club's 6,974-yard Champion Course and finished with a team score of 310. No. 14-ranked St. John's University (Minn.) fired a 4-under 284 on the 6,701-yard Run Course to take the early lead. St. John's is ahead of second-place and 12th-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University by one stroke. Husson is tied with 19th-ranked Aurora University for 31st place.

Max Woodman and junior
Chris Kauppila led the Eagles on Tuesday by shooting a 4-over 76 and are tied for 102nd. Junior
Jack King posted a 5-over 77 and sits one stroke behind Woodman and Kauppila in a 19-way tie for 111th. Senior
Cade Charron and junior
Will Kavanaugh each chipped in with a 9-over 81 and are tied for 174th.
Husson will switch to Keene Trace's Run Course for the second round and play on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
