BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University women's swimming & diving team erased a 30-point deficit over the final nine events of the dual meet to pull out a thrilling 140-137 victory over Eastern Connecticut State University on Saturday morning inside Webber Pool.
The Warriors won nine events, while Husson claimed the other seven. The teams split the relay events.

Erika Barone won the 400-yard freestyle relay in 4:03.95 to clinch the victory for the Eagles.
Payson won three races, freshman diver
Riley Mahoney had two individual wins, while Madden and graduate student
Ava Emery each picked up a victory for the Eagles. Payson's victories came in the 200-yard freestyle (2:05.67), the 100-yard freestyle (57.84) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.62). Mahoney won the five-dive one-meter optionals with 133.10 points and the six-dive round with a total of 191.45 points. Madden placed first in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:57.03 and Emery took the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:48.23.
The Eagles had runner-up finishes from senior
Abbie Howe in the 100-yard backstroke (1:09.34) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:30.36), Madden in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:19.29) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:52.81), freshman
Olivia Smith in the 500-yard freestyle (6:33.54), and freshman
Lily Butler in the six-dive one-meter round (152.90).
Husson returns to the pool on Saturday, November 19 when they host Colby-Sawyer College and the University of Maine Club Swimming team for a double-dual meet.
