Women's Swim & Dive Capture First Ever Victory Over UNE in Program History in Double Dual Meet Sweep

BANGOR, Maine - For the first time in program history, the Husson University women's swimming & diving team defeated the University of New England in a dual meet, beating the Nor'easters 167-83 on Friday evening in a double dual meet with Maine Maritime Academy in Webber Pool. The Eagles earned a 170.5-64.50 victory over the Mariners to complete the sweep.

THE RUNDOWN:

  • The quartet of Abbie Howe, Adelaide Ross, Kayla Payson and Maddie Wing won the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 2:00.77.
  • The group of Abby Ketch, Emily Grinnell, Ava Emery and Jillian Clapp finished second in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 2:07.14.
  • Erin Aucoin won the 500 Free (5:55.69) and placed second in the 200 Free (2:12.72).
  • Howe finished second in the 50 Back (31.76) and won the 100 Back (1:09.76).
  • Ketch placed third in the 50 Back (32.09).
  • Sydney Jordan was sixth in the 50 Back (34.91).
  • Hannah Soutter swam exhibition in the 50 Back (34.86) and placed fourth in the 50 Fly (32.58).
  • Ivana Radovanovic swam exhibition in the 50 Back (35.10) and finished sixth in the 50 Fly (33.27), and seventh in the 100 IM (1:16.27).
  • Ross won the 50 Breast (35.53), and the 100 Breast (1:19.33) and finished second in the 100 IM (1:11.66).
  • Grinnell placed second in the 50 Breast (37.32) and third in the 200 Free (2:22.83).
  • Emery tied for third in the 50 Breast (37.63) and placed second in the 100 Breast (1:22.18), and fourth in the 100 IM (1:14.55).
  • Payson won the 100 Fly (1:03.65) and the 100 Free (59.42).
  • Wing won the 50 Free (27.06) and placed second in the 50 Fly (30.32).
  • Clapp finished second in the 50 Free (27.95) and third in the 100 Free (1:02.28)
  • Kerrigan Smith was fourth in the 50 Free (29.16), seventh in the 100 Breast (1:29.40), and sixth in the 200 Free (2:27.95).
  • Isabella Vanier swam exhibition in the 50 Free (31.47) and took an eighth place finish in the 100 Free (1:10.16).
  • Alyssa Patterson won the 1-meter diving (six-dive program) with 160.15 points.
  • Aucoin, Payson, Clapp, and Wing won the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:50.56.
  • Smith, Jordan, Radovanovic and Vanier swam together to finish fourth in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 2:03.02.
