BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University women's tennis team (5-1, 3-0 NAC) continued North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play on Saturday afternoon with a 9-0 victory over Northern Vermont University-Lyndon (2-5, 1-2 NAC).

Opening up the scoring action for the Eagles was Hannah Malinen and Natalie Tilton at #1 doubles as they took down Hornets' Emilie Dube and Savannah Jackson, 8-1. The sophomore team of Ashley Matlock and Nicci Munroe, and the senior duo of Marisa Brown and Jocelyn Bell defeated two more pairs of Hornets by outscoring the visitors, 8-0.

Husson's dominance continued into singles play as Bell and Munroe did not surrender a point to NVU-Lyndon's Erica Hayakawa and Roze Yar en route to 6-0, 6-0 wins. Tilton, Malinen, Julia O'Leary and Brown contributed to the Eagles sweep of the Hornets with decisive straight-set victories. 

The Eagles look to extend their winning streak when they host Northern Vermont University-Johnson tomorrow, September 22nd for a 10:00am NAC matchup.
