BANGOR, Maine – Women's tennis battled both visiting Thomas College (Maine) (0-7, 0-3 NAC) and a pesky rainstorm on Wednesday afternoon. The Eagles came out on top, beating the Terriers, 7-0, to improve their record to 4-0 while earning their first conference win. Unfortunately, the rain put an early stop to the final two singles matches. 

In singles action, Natalie Tilton, Hannah Malinen, and Julia O'Leary cleaned the courts, 6-0, 6-0, against Breanna Whitmarsh, Makayla Guerrette, and Amber Paine. Samantha Mercier earned the lone point of the day for the Terriers, dropping both sets to Ashley Matlock, 6-0, 6-1. 

All three Husson duos grabbed 8-0 wins with Eagles Matlock and Nicci Munroe kicking off the day against Mercier and Whitmarsh. Terriers Guerrette and Abigail Stevens were downed by Malinen and Tilton. The final set of pairs, Marisa Brown and Jocelyn Bell took down Paine and Marshy Fisher. 

The Eagles will have a day for the courts to dry before returning to Bangor High School to take on Lesley University at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 21st.
