BANGOR, Maine – The Husson University women's swimming & diving team lost to Colby-Sawyer, 156-99, at Webber Pool on Saturday afternoon.
Overall, the Eagles ended the meet with three individual first-place finishes. Colby-Sawyer completed the victory with nine individual first-place finishes, and also topped both team races.
THE RUNDOWN
- Kassidy Harris clocked the fastest time in the 100 Yard Backstroke at 1:19.41, and finished second in the 50 Yard Backstroke, and third in the 100 Yard Individual Medley, to lead the Eagles with 16 total points.
- Lizzy Small finished first in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:18.86, second in the 100 Yard Backstroke, and fifth in the 100 Yard Individual Medley, for 14 total points.
- Keeli Wood led all swimmers in the 50 Yard Backstroke with a time of 35.41, and finished second in the 100 Yard Backstroke, garnering 13 total points for the Eagles.
- Ashley Clark finished second in both the 500 and 1000 Yard Freestyle events, and fourth in the 100 Yard Individual Medley, for a total of 10 points.
- Leslie Donlin finished third in both the 50 Yard Freestyle and 50 Yard Butterfly for six total points.
- Megan Johnston finished third in both the 50 and 100 Yard Backstroke events for six points.
- Gabrielle Peabody finished third in both the 100 and 200 Yard Freestyle events, for six total points.
- Zoe Mather finished second in the 100 Yard Butterfly and fifth in the 50 Yard Butterfly, for five total points.
- Amber Britton finished fourth in both the 50 Yard and 100 Yard Freestyle events for four total points.
- Macy Mansir finished fourth in the 500 Yard Freestyle and fifth in the 200 Yard Freestyle, for three total points.
- Natalie Champagne finished fifth in both the 50 and 100 Yard Backstroke events for two total points.
- Ashleigh Beaudoin finished fourth in the 1000 Yard Freestyle for two points.
- Madison Cole finished fourth in the 50 Yard Backstroke for two points.
- Kelsey Poland finished fourth in the 100 Yard Backstroke for two points.
- Amanda Marcus competed in the 50 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Freestyle, finishing fifth in the latter, for one point.
- Sarah Wilson finished fifth in the 500 Yard Freestyle for one point.
- Alexis Lower swam exhibition in the 50 Yard Backstroke and 100 Yard Freestyle.
- The quartet of Donlin, Wood, Britton, and Peabody competed in the 200 Yard Medley Relay, placing second.
- Donlin, Wood, Britton, and Peabody also placed third in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay.
The Eagles travel to Massachusetts next Saturday, January 28, to compete against Bridgewater State and Regis.
