WATERVILLE, Maine - For the second time in four days, Husson defeated Thomas (Maine), this time 8-1 on Tuesday at the Alfond Center as both teams opened North Atlantic Conference action.

Husson (2-0, 1-0 NAC) won five of six singles matches. Meridith Blessard defeated Lindsey Allen 6-4 and 6-0. Katie Pratt dispatched Amelia Guimond 6-0 and 6-0. Kelsey Pelletier took care of Miangelik Navarro 6-2 and 6-4. Sarah Smith defeated Katie McAllister 6-0 and 6-1. Elizabeth Adley defeated Rachel Gillis 6-3 and 6-0. The lone win for Thomas (0-4, 0-1 NAC) was on the No. 2 line when Olivia Mora defeated Charlotte Bednarz 6-1 and 7-5.

In doubles action, Blessard and Pratt defeated Allen and Mora 8-5. Bednarz and Smith took care of Guimond and Navarro 8-1. Pelletier and Emma Fontaine dropped McAllister and Gillis 8-6.
