GORHAM, Maine - Husson concluded its fall regular season with a 7-2 win against Southern Maine at the Gorham High School tennis courts.

Husson (7-2) won five of six singles matches Wednesday. Meridith Blessard defeated Katie Quinn in No. 1 singles 8-5. Katie Pratt dropped Liz Martin 7-6 (7-3). Charlotte Bednarz dispatched Emily Estes on the three-line 8-1. Sarah Smith disposed of Rikki Demoranville 8-1. Samantha Dubay defeated Sissy Smith on the six-line 7-6 (7-5).

The only win in singles for Southern Maine (2-8) came on the five-line where Kara Weiske defeated Elizabeth Adley 8-5.

Pratt and Blessard defeated Quinn and Martin 9-7 in No. 1 doubles. Bednarz and Smith lost to Estes and Demoranville on the two-line 8-5. Adley and Dubay took care of Weiske and Lynn Swanson 8-4.

Husson next takes part in the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) East Division Tournament as the No. 3-seed and faces two-seed Castleton (Vt.) on Saturday, October 10, at Colby-Sawyer (N.H.) at 10 a.m. ET.
