Dorian Gilmartin-Dzitko enters her first season as the Husson head women’s lacrosse coach with record of 0-0.
Gilmartin-Dzitko was named the fifth head coach in program history on July 18, 2017.
Gilmartin-Dzitko arrived at Husson after spending the past two seasons (2016-17) as the assistant coach at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, where they compiled an overall record of 18-19, while guiding the Rangers to two Landmark Conference postseason appearances.
She has coached club lacrosse for the past two years serving as head coach and director of operations of the Ultimate Girls Lacrosse Club. Prior to coaching club lacrosse, Gilmartin-Dzitko coached varsity field hockey at Hillsborough High School (2014-16).
Gilmartin-Dzitko was a four-year letterwinner as an attacker for the University of Connecticut women’s lacrosse team (2010-13). During her senior campaign, the Huskies broke several school records and made their first-ever Big East Conference Championship and NCAA Division I Tournament appearance in program history.
Off the field, Gilmartin-Dzitko was named to the Big East All-Academic team while being an active member in the UConn community serving as the CFO of the UConn SAAC Executive Board.
Gilmartin-Dzitko earned a Bachelor of Science in History with a minor in Women’s Studies from University of Connecticut in 2013.
A native of Hillsborough, N.J., Gilmartin-Dzitko attended Hillsborough High School. She resides in Hampden, Maine.
