Brian Potter enters his third season as the goalkeeper coach with the Husson men's and women's soccer teams in 2017, after a stellar four-year playing career with the Eagles from 2011-14.
In four seasons as a goalkeeper with Husson, Potter helped the Eagles to four NAC Tournaments, while claiming two championship titles in 2011 and 2014. He set four Husson all-time career records, including most games played by a keeper (64), most minutes played (5677:09), most saves (396) and most shutouts (18). Potter posted 38 wins, good for third all-time. He was named to the All-NAC first team in 2011 and second team in 2014 while also earning a spot on the 2014 NAC All-Tournament Team. Potter was named team captain in 2014 becoming the seventh keeper in program history to earn this honor, while also being named Husson’s Del Merrill Male Athlete of the Year for the 2014-15 season.
Off the field, Potter continue's to be highly involved in community service and campus activities, especially with the Special Olympics and Husson's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. In continuing his passion for youth soccer development, Potter served as the Head Coach for Seacoast United Blackbear U18s in the 2016, and has also served as one of the clubs goalkeeper coaches for the past two years.
In 2016, Potter graduated from Husson earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Masters of Business Administration. He also holds USSF ‘F’, and ‘E’ Licenses.
A native of Waterville, Maine, Potter attended Erskine Academy.
