Bruce MacGregor enters his 21st season as the Husson assistant men's golf coach in 2017-18.
The Eagles men's golf team won three tournaments and finished second in the NAC in 2014. MacGregor helped coached Greg Martin to a NAC individual championship. The team's best finish, sixth place, in 2015 came at the Westport Hampton Inn Spring Invitational.
MacGregor was the Husson head men's golf coach in spring 1979 and again from 1993-2009, leading the team to 10 National Championship appearances. The men's golf team won three MAC titles from 2000-2002, a Sunrise Conference Championship in 2003, NAC title in 2004 and eight straight NAC Championships from 2006-13.
MacGregor was the Husson head men's basketball coach for 26 seasons from 1969-94 and has the most victories in program history with 540. His teams captured five NAIA District V Championships, three NCC Championships, two WMAC Championships and a MAC Championship.
MacGregor was inducted into the Husson Sports Hall of Fame in 1998.
Before coming to Husson in 1968, MacGregor was a teacher and coach at Reading Memorial High School.
MacGregor earned a Bachelor of Science in education from Springfield College in 1966, Master of Education from Salem State University in 1968 and Doctor of Philosphy from the University of Maine in 1972.
Bruce and his wife, Christine, have three children: Betsy, David and Jill; and two grandsons: Cameron and Gordon.
