Jason Folsom enters his 12th season as the Husson baseball bench coach in 2018, working primarily with the catchers. It marks his second stint with the Eagles after spending the 2005 season as an assistant coach for John Winkin.

Since returning to the coaching staff prior to the start of the 2008 season, Folsom has helped guide the Husson baseball program to nine straight winning seasons with a combined 243-182 (.572) record with two NAC and one NEAC championships, a NEAC East Regular Season title, four NAC/NEAC runner-up finishes, two NCAA DIII Tournament appearances and two ECAC Tournament berths, while coaching five Conference Players of the Year, one Conference Defensive Player and Pitcher of the Year, four Conference Rookies of the Year, two Del Merrill Husson Male Athletes of the Year, three Conference Tournament MVP’s, and 40 All-Conference, two Conference All-Sportsmanship Team, 28 Conference All-Tournament Team, 18 Conference All-Academic, two NEIBA Senior All-Star Game, two All-ECAC, three D3Baseball.com All-New England, four NEIBA All-New England, three ABCA/Rawlings All-New England selections and seven Eagle Award Winners.

Prior to joining the Eagle coaching staff, Folsom was a four-year letterwinner as a catcher/infielder for the Eagles from 2001-04. He batted .350 in 139 career games with 159 hits, ten homers, 13 doubles, eight triples, 93 RBIs, 64 walks, a .480 slugging percentage, a .445 on base percentage (OPS), a .925 on base plus slugging percentage (OPS) and holds a career .941 fielding percentage.

The two-time All-NAIA Northeast and All-Conference selection ranks tied for eighth in hit by pitch (16), tenth in walks and triples, tied for 14th in hits, tied for 15th in home runs, 17th in total bases (218), 19th in at bats, tied for 21st in games played, tied for 23rd in runs, 24th in OPS, 25th in batting average, and tied for 25th in OPS.

Folsom severed as a two-year captain under both John Kolasinski and Winkin in 2003 and 2004, guiding Husson to a 91-65 overall record with two Sunrise Regular Season Titles in 2003 and 2004, a Sunrise Championship in 2004 and a Sunrise runner-up finish in 2003, while helping the 2004 team set the program record for wins in a single-season with 27.

Folsom earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education in 2004 from Husson.

A native of Millinocket, Maine, Folsom attended Stearns High School. He and his wife, Jenn, who is an assistant coach on the Husson women’s basketball team, currently reside in Glenburn, Maine with their twin daughters, Abygail and Kaylee, and son, Connor.
