Women's Cross Country Takes Second at Keene State College Rust Buster

KEENE, N.H. – The Husson freshmen set the tone for the season in their first collegiate race as the women's cross country team competed at the Keene State College Rust Buster in Keene, N.H. Taking on 2 miles, the Eagles recorded four top-ten finishes to achieve 2nd place out of three teams at the event.  

With the top finishing times for the Eagles, junior Lindsey Joliat paced a 6:41 mile for 6th place and an overall time of 13:21 and Julia Glisson crossed the finish line at 13:21. Two of the four top-ten times were recorded by freshmen Isabelle Jackson (8th) with a time of 14:07 and Renee Dostal (10th) coming in at 14:39. Just milliseconds behind, freshman Emily Banks (12th) crossed in at 14:30 behind Dostal. 

Closing out the race for the Eagles was freshman Danielle Scott (13th) at 15:06 and sophomore Katherine Camire (14th) just seconds behind at 15:13.

The Eagles will compete at the Mariner Invitational in Belfast, Maine next Saturday, September 8th at 3:00 pm.
