  • Women's Cross Country Finishes Season at NCAA DIII Northeast Regional Championship

    GORHAM, Maine - The Husson women’s cross country team closed out their 2017 season on Saturday after competing at the NCAA DIII Northeast Regional Championship hosted at the Gorham Country Club. With a total of 56 teams contending including 393 student-athletes, the women returned home with 51st place. Seven Eagles raced in the 6k on the brisk afternoon. This was the first time Husson ran a 6k in competition in over a month.

    WATERVILLE, Maine – Husson University sophomore Lindsey Joliat and senior Morgan Clifford collected All-Conference honors by finishing in the top-14 in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Cross Country Championship, which was held at the University of Maine-Farmington, on Saturday afternoon. Senior Shannon Staples was selected to the Sportsmanship Team, an award voted on by conference head coaches, the league announced Wednesday morning.

Out of all 12 teams that competed including Bates College which is national ranked, Husson walked away with 8th place.

    BRUNSWICK, Maine – After two weeks off, the Husson men’s and women’s cross country teams were back in action as they traveled to the annual Bowdoin Invitational on Saturday. Lindsey Joliat set the pace for the Eagles yet again, helping Husson finish 6th overall out of the eight teams that competed. Joliat walked away with a time of 25:40 for 28th, knocking off one minute and 18 seconds from her last time.

    FREDERICTON, New Brunswick – The Husson men's and women's cross country teams journeyed up to Canada for the second consecutive year to compete in the RSEQ AUS Interlock Meet at the University of New Brunswick. The women pushed through the humidity walking away with 6th place after running a full 6k for the first time competitively while racing against two of the top 15 teams in Canada, St. Francis Xavier and Dalhousie, taking first and third.
