Men's and Women's Cross Country Compete at ECAC Championship

Milton, N.Y. - The Husson University men's and women's cross country programs competed in the ECAC Championship at the Hudson Valley Superdome on Saturday afternoon. 

The men ran the 8K and placed 11th out of 18 teams with a total score of 267. Senior Andrew Balsamo lead the way in 29th place with a time of 28:55. Josh Wheeler placed 53rd with a time of 30:24, David Furtado placed 60th and Spencer Canham finished shortly after in 61st place. Nick Young finished in 68th with a time of 31:09.

The women have had three different top runners this year in their meets and placed 11th out of 14 teams in the 6K this weekend. Lindsey Joliat lead the way for the Eagles in 41st place with a time of 27:41. Morgan Clifford finished next in 44th with a time of 27:50. NAC 2nd Team All-Conference runner Heidi Ntengeri finished in 49th, Shannon Bunce finished in 51st and the NAC Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year Samantha Martin finished in 59th with a time of 28:39.

The Eagles are back in action this coming weekend November, 12th for the Divison III Championship Northeast Regional in Westfield, Massachusetts.
