Women's Volleyball Drops Road Game at Maine Maritime

CASTINE, Maine – The Husson University volleyball team was defeated by Maine Maritime Academy, 3-0, on Tuesday night in North Atlantic Conference (NAC) action inside of Smith Gymnasium.

The Mariners took the match in three sets, with 25-12 and 25-13 victories in the first two sets and took the third set 25-14, leading to the victory. 

Mary Grace Power led the Eagles with three kills, and also added two digs and an ace, Delaney Chisholm led the Eagles with nine digs and Hanna Hembrow added seven digs and a team-leading six assists. 

Lindsay Chapman contributed with seven digs and a kill, and Kaitlyn Woods ended the night with two kills and one serving ace.

Alexa Cacacie led the Mariners with nine kills and a block, Hannah Butland tallied a team-leading nine digs, three kills, an assist and a block, and Sydney Adams led all players with 19 assists, and also added six digs, and four aces.

The Eagles drop to 14-10 on the season and 4-1 in conference play, while the Mariners improve to 16-9 overall and 5-0 in the NAC. Husson returns to action on Saturday, when they host a conference play date starting at 10:00 am.
