Women's Volleyball Falls at Southern Maine, 3-0

GORHAM, Maine -- The Husson University women's volleyball team fell to the University of Southern Maine, 3-0 (25-11, 25-9, 25-5) in a non-conference match Tuesday evening at the Warren Hill Gymnasium.

The Eagles dropped to 7-6 overall, while the Huskies improved to 6-4.

Senior Nia Arranaga had three kills, all coming in the first set. Classmate Lindsay Chapman posted a team-high seven digs, while sophomores Hanna Hembrow and Riley Mooers each tailled two aces.

For Southern Maine, sophomore Kylee Austin had eight kills on 13 attacks, senior Mo Raymond had five kills on 11 attacks, and sophomore Faolain Harrington chipped in four kills on seven tries.

Husson is back in action tomorrow night, September 20 at 5:00 p.m., hosting the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Southern Maine is on the road for its next match on Thursday (7:00 p.m.) at Nichols College.
