Women's Volleyball Earn Three NAC Victories; Extend Winning Streak to 4

BANGOR, Maine - The Husson University women's volleyball picked up three North Atlantic Conference (NAC) victories over the weekend inside Newman Gymnasium to extend their winning streak to four games.

Husson (11-10, 3-0 NAC) completed the season sweep of Maine-Presque Isle on Friday night in straight sets before defeating Green Mountain (0-8, 0-3 NAC), 3-0 and Castleton (6-6, 1-1 NAC) in straight sets for the first time since 2012 on Saturday.

With the three wins, Husson records double-digit wins for the first time in four years.

Mary Grace Power led the way with 33 kills in 76 attempts with a .276 hitting percentage, while Bailey Cote added 31 in 42 attempts with a hitting percentage of .690. Nia Arranaga had 15 aces and Kaitlyn Woods record eight over the three matches. Hanna Hembrow had 70 assists on the weekend as she put the ball where the hitters could succeed.

On the defensive end, the Eagles were led by Delaney Chisholm with 47 digs, Woods added 40, and Grace Power chipped in with 37 digs. Hembrow and Riley Mooers each had 31 apiece.

Hembrow recorded a team high eight blocks (3 solos, 5 assisted). Cote and Arranaga chipped in with six and four respectively.

The Eagles return to action on Tuesday night when they host Colby for a 7:00 p.m. non-conference game.
